Online Fit Review Before You Grade

Check the Fit Before You Grade the Full Size Set

Pattern Room is built for speed, but once you are ready to commit to a full graded size set, confidence matters.

Our Online Fit Review is a focused technical session with an experienced pattern maker. We review your sewn sample, check the fit and construction, and help confirm whether your pattern is ready to scale.

This is not a full product development session or redesign appointment. It is a practical fit check to help you avoid grading a pattern before the base fit is right.

Who This Is For?

This session is for manufacturers and apparel businesses who have:

Purchased a single-size Pattern Room pattern
Sewn a sample in their intended production fabric
Reviewed the fit internally
Want expert advice before grading

Why your sample needs to be sewn by your own manufacturer

Fit is not only about the pattern. It is affected by fabric, cutting, sewing tension, construction method and shrinkage. That is why we review the sample made in your real production conditions, not a sample made in our workroom.

Why? Because fit is influenced by:

Reviewing a sample sewn in your real production conditions eliminates surprises later.
This session is about confirming the garment will work in your system — not in ours.
Fabric stretch and recovery
Fabric weight
Shrinkage behaviour
Sewing tension and construction methods

Your Fitting Specialist

I’m Julia Van Der Sommen, creator of Pattern Room and a 30-year veteran of the fashion industry. I’ve worked as a pattern maker, designer, and manager across onshore and offshore manufacturing. After decades of seeing startups struggle with poor-quality patterns, endless revisions, and wasted money, I knew there had to be a better way.
That’s why I founded Pattern Room — the world’s first online pattern catalog with over 2.5 million professionally fitted, production-ready patterns available in just 48 hours. Now, you don’t need to gamble with overseas suppliers or spend 12 weeks waiting for patterns that may not even work.
